Classes offered by the shop are terrific...

...ways to learn new skills and techniques in a relaxed environment.  I'm a beginner and have already learned about constructing a sweater, basic crochet techniques, tiny socks and soon hope to have an Einstein coat in my closet!  I'm particularly appreciative of the patience and limitless skills Debbie brings to classes.  She's a truly gifted teacher who makes us all realize we can succeed, no matter where we're starting from.  I HIGHLY recommend signing up for a class or taking advantage of any of the drop-in sessions."

The Sweater System

Sweater System

We have put together a great “Sweater System” package we know you’ll love. What is the “Sweater System”? It is a package of classes, personal attention, yarn, a custom pattern and a guarantee for success. When you purchase the “Sweater System you will receive a personal consultation with one of our trained expert knitters that will help you pick out a yarn appropriate for your knitting level and the sweater you wish to make, a custom designed and drafted pattern to produce the sweater and fit your want, a series of four classes to help you follow the pattern, determine your gauge, teach you shaping, blocking, finishing techniques and help you on your way to a sweater you will be proud of and, if you follow our advice and attend all the classes, a guarantee that your sweater will fit.

This program is perfect for the knitter that hasn’t had much success with sweaters and/or sizing in the past and for those knitters that want to move past the beginner projects and wants support along the way. Have more questions about Flying Sheep Yarns’ exclusive “Sweater System”? Call Liz at: 734.623.1640, or stop by the store. Flying Sheep Yarns, 1954 S. Industrial Hwy, Ann Arbor. Check out available class dates on our Classes page.

Yarn Drop

Keep your eyes peeled for for stray skeins of yarn wandering the streets alone. These orphaned beauties are looking for a good home and someone to love them. If you find one, take it home... knit it into something fun and send us a photo. You can add to the drop by leaving a skein of your own in it's place. More information will follow in upcoming newsletters.

Mango Moon's Recycled Silk
